I graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelor's of Science in Home Economics, received my Masters from the Charleston College of Charleston in Early Childhood Education and thirty hours above Masters from the Citadel in Elementary Administration.
I have been in education for twenty-nine years and have enjoyed every minute of it! I have taught in Charleston, Berkeley and Dillion Counties and the Early Childhood Developement Center at the College of Charleston.
As I enter my fifth year as principal of Charleston Progressive Academy, my goal is to continue to increase the academic rigor, continue the funtional volunteer program, and continue exposing the students' to extracurricular activities. We will also continue to implement and expand our Leadership/Fitness focus we increase community partnerships. I expect ALL students to achieve and it is my job to provide the instructional tools and environment to make this possible. Parents are always welcome to share their talents with the students and faculty at CPA.
I thank you for entrusting me and the faculty and staff with the responsibility of educating your child. As we embark on this "journey" of providing your child with the tools to be the leader that he or she can be, I look forward to you being an active part of this endeavor.
